According to reports, the Xiahushan Reservoir Project in Anqing City has been under construction for 38 years, and has gone through survey, planning and design. It has been included in the provincial "86 1" action plan. The project mainly involves the three counties (cities) of Buried Hill, Huaining and Tongcheng, which can fundamentally relieve the flood threat of Dashahe flood control area with a population of nearly/kloc-0.50 million mu,/kloc-0.40 million mu of cultivated land, Hejiu Railway, He 'an Expressway and 265.438+06 National Highway. Improve the flood control and irrigation capacity of Caizi Lake Basin; Solve the water supply problem in 3 counties and 9 towns downstream. At present, the project proposal of Xiahushan Reservoir has successfully passed several rounds of review by relevant units and will soon be approved by the National Development and Reform Commission. Construction is expected to start in June 5438+February this year.

In order to actively promote the construction of Xiahushan Reservoir, the municipal government established the Xiahushan Reservoir Construction Leading Group on February 9, 2008.

At the meeting, Han Bing, vice mayor, asked the relevant departments of water conservancy, development and reform commission, finance, earthquake, land and public security, and the party committees and governments of Qianshan, Huaining and Tongcheng counties to fully understand the great practical significance and far-reaching historical significance of the construction of Xiahushan Reservoir, take immediate action and quickly put into the preliminary work of the project.
