Reasons for the demise of Nanzhao

In the late Nanzhao period, a number of powerful families such as Zheng, Yang, Zhao, Dong Shi, Gao and Duan appeared in China. These six surnames all have land, people and soldiers, and their every move is related to the political situation. Two years later, in Tang Zhaozong (902), Zheng Maisi, an important official, usurped the throne, forcing the Nanzhao emperor Meng Shunhua to abdicate and kill him, changing his country name to "Dachanghe" and "Anguo", and the Nanzhao Montessori perished. Nanzhao died in civil strife and there was no war.
