Extra points for relatives of Australian immigrants

When you are a general skilled immigrant in your class, you can give extra points to your relatives, which can be raised to 10, but your relatives must be in a designated area, not necessarily in a remote area, and the whole Melbourne area can get extra points.

If you go to a remote area, such as Adelaide, that's your personal remote area plus 5 points.
