How much tolerance do countries around the world have for immigrants?

Americans and Europeans have different concerns about immigration. Americans tend to worry about economic consequences; Europeans are worried about how to assimilate immigrants culturally. Two-thirds of Americans believe that immigrants receive more social security benefits than they pay taxes. Europeans worry that immigrants, especially Muslims, cannot be assimilated. Only 4 1% of Germans believe that immigrants have been integrated into German society, and when Muslims are involved, the proportion holding this view drops to 25%. On the other hand, 60% of Americans feel that immigrants are well integrated into American culture.
