What's the experience of emigrating to a poor country full of rich people?
I have lived in Greece for some time. Jill invited me to write about the real feelings of living in Greece.
Of course, these feelings are all my lazy mood and attitude. I have a lazy temperament in my bones, which is quite suitable for living in the birthplace of this myth.
In addition to the birthplace of myth, Greece also has a tourist destination. What impressed me most was the economic crisis.
At first, I was a little hesitant because I wanted to buy a house after all ... but I want to live there, so it doesn't matter.
I bought a two-bedroom apartment for less than 300,000 euros. Looking out of the window, I can see the coastline in the distance besides the blue sky. I am in a good mood!
During this period of life, I found that if I am used to living in Wuhan, I am basically used to living in Greece.
It was only after the economic crisis came that it was discovered that it had no terrible influence on the Greeks.
Locals are generally calm and slow to do things. For example, the cashier's aunt is very slow. Once she bought a lot of things, and it took her 20 minutes to finish them. The people behind her calmly lined up without urging. I can't help thinking of China's joke. It is said that except Asians, everyone's arithmetic level is still in the prehistoric stage. I think it's too difficult to calculate the price because I bought too many things, so I won't worry with compassion.
There is basically nothing worth raising separately about language. In Greece, almost everyone speaks English except the elderly, but with a strong accent. I am also a non-English native speaker, and my accent is as bad as others, so I feel more at ease and peaceful inside. ...
Drivers who drive on the road all have good cars. Most drivers will stop when they see us walking in the middle of the road and let us go first. Of course, this politeness also puts a lot of pressure on me. Dare not rush to trade, dare not walk like a good family, so we have to rush to the opposite road like a gust of wind.
Occasionally, I will see people who run red lights, and the bright sunshine will sway into my eyes. I feel like I'm back in the country through space ... the reason why I say it's the country is because there are no traffic lights and cameras that you can see when you look up on the road, and there are no traffic policemen waiting to post notes at any time. Driving here in Greece depends mainly on consciousness. ...
However, it is said that just looking at the number of cameras on the street can roughly judge whether this country is rich or not ~ so think about it, Greece is really poor.
So I forgive another thing: 4G is only 3G outside the city center. Fortunately, there is a five-hour time difference with China, so don't worry about dialing the video phone network all the time, but it's not good. The agricultural products here are very fresh, and Greece does not import chemical fertilizers and pesticides.
I am lazy, and I always hope that I can solve the problem of eating and drinking Lazar for a long time by working once. As a result, I found that tomatoes, a special ingredient for lazy people, will be fine even if they are bought in China for more than a week, but they will go bad if they are not eaten here for a day and a half. When I had this knowledge, I was depressed all afternoon and missed the pesticides and preservatives in my hometown!
Finally, the delicious snacks in the supermarket and the sour yogurt sold by a handsome guy on the street calmed my ungrateful heart.
The stray cats and dogs in the street are clean and tidy, which is beyond my expectation. I always thought that those little guys that I could always see downstairs were kept by people. Later, I inquired and found that the Greek government should take care of them to eat and drink to prevent diseases, and pet medical care seems to belong to the public medical system.
Like pigeons, seagulls and sparrows, they are not afraid of people. When they passed by, they didn't look at me differently because of my swaying pace. They amuse themselves and are extremely tolerant of everything. At this moment, I always feel despised in my heart, and then I think indignantly, you people who only know how to live in your own world will not feel guilty because you love your family!
..... succulents bloom well, with big heads and obvious colors; There are many orange trees on the streets of Athens, but oranges are very sour. Don't eat them. Ahem, I picked two oranges from the orange tree aboveboard, and then strolled leisurely to the seaside, ready to face the sea. In the slightly broken sea breeze, I slowly pushed the orange out of my mouth and tasted the sour and sweet taste like my life now. As a result, I was directly attacked by a sour taste that went straight to my forehead, and then I ran away ... Not surprisingly, people here like children. My son is one and a half years old. Perhaps because the birth rate in Europe is generally low, people here are not only extremely friendly to children, but also give priority to mothers with children in many public places.
What makes me most elated is that the marriage customs here are just the opposite of those in China-the woman buys a house and the man gives a bride price. Although my son is only one and a half years old, I am still afraid that others will see that I am taking advantage. Even if it may happen in 25 years, I still have the satisfaction of eating and dying for the rest of my life!
It is said that Greeks like parades. For example, if workers want to have a holiday, they will ask the trade union to inform the government that they are going to March ... maybe they haven't been here long enough to see it with their own eyes.
Therefore, I always use common examples in China to imagine the parade here, such as pulling a banner with white characters on a black background, writing a story about XXX developers cheating property buyers, or seeing violent conflicts in previous demonstrations. Later, I heard that it is different here, and it is generally carried out in an orderly manner, and there will be no looting. Let my excitement of seeing foreign countries also fade.
The Greek government feels like a real estate company. Many policies are in line with the wishes of the people, and there are many incidents in which the people kidnap the government. This kind of thing always makes me envy other people's people being masters of their own affairs, while I am proud of China's strength and despise their government.
All people in Greece have a tradition of tax evasion and avoidance, which is said to have developed from the Ottoman Empire.
I remember reading a report in my early years that by the end of 20 14, the total amount of taxes owed by Greeks to the government in the past few decades had reached about 76 billion euros (about 580 billion yuan). I was very shocked by this, and then I saw that there was another kind of clarity in the hearts of people who lived leisurely in the street.
There are really many rich people here, and it's different from China! Don't bask in the sun, don't bask in the sun, don't bask in jewelry, and the favorite thing to bask in is yachts!
Look at the rows of yachts neatly parked by the sea, emitting this quiet fragrance in the sunset, always giving me a voice-over saying "I don't envy you".
Now, my family and I are all holding green cards and become one of the people coming and going in this street. I feel that those who used to be nervous in China are drifting away in this bright sunshine and salty sea breeze.
Jill said, let me talk about what kind of people in Greece are suitable for life according to my feelings. I only have one sentence: I am suitable anyway. As for the suitability of my child in the future, that is his problem.
