What are the requirements for a Hong Kong passport to enter the United States? What is the process?

To go to the United States with a Hong Kong passport, you need to apply for a US visa, provide a passport, Hong Kong identity card, photos and application form, or download and provide bank financial proof online and apply to the US Embassy in Hong Kong. The process is as follows:

Step 1: Fill in the form

Fill in the application form (DS- 160, which can be downloaded from the US Consulate in official website). Once the form is submitted, it cannot be changed.

Step 2: Pay the fee.

A visa fee (HK$ 1280) is required to fill in the DS- 160 form. Payment is very simple, just 7- 1 1 in Hong Kong.

Please make sure to keep the receipt number you used to make an appointment for a visa interview.

Step 3: Log in and make an appointment.

Log in to the personal file with the same voucher as paying the visa fee. After entering the system, you will see "Reservation" on the left side of the control panel menu.

This will begin the process of making an appointment. Prepare:

Passport number and visa fee receipt number (ten (10) digit computer bar code displayed on your confirmation page of DS- 160).

Then choose the visa category, input personal data, join family members, choose the delivery place of documents, confirm visa payment, and finally arrange an appointment.

Step 4: Meet in person and get the certificate.

Go to the embassy to apply for a visa at the appointed date and time. Take all the papers. If your visa is approved, it will be sent to the place specified when you make an appointment.
