Which is more developed, Uruguay or China?

Uruguay is much more developed than China, and many people in China always claim to be the second in the world. They are arrogant and don't look at per capita income at all. They always think that all foreigners are living in hot water and are frogs in the well. Uruguayan living standard far exceeds that of China. Many people in China can't even afford beef, and they envy Europeans and Americans for being muscular than themselves. When you say the reason, you say that people eat beef and we eat rice, vegetables and pork. Most people in China can't afford beef every day.
