What are the remote and cold areas?

Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and Inner Mongolia Plateau.

1. Qinghai-Tibet Plateau: Located in the southwest of China, it includes most of Tibet and Qinghai, as well as parts of western Sichuan, Xinjiang, Yunnan and Gansu. The Qinghai-Tibet Plateau has a high altitude and steep terrain, with an average altitude of more than 4,000 meters, and even as high as 6,000 meters in some places. The climate here is cold, with large annual and daily temperature differences in most areas, and it is covered with ice and snow all the year round. It is a "cold region" in China.

2. Inner Mongolia Plateau: Located in the north of China, including most of Inner Mongolia and parts of Gansu, Ningxia and Hebei. Inner Mongolia Plateau has a flat terrain and vast grassland, which belongs to temperate continental climate, with long cold winters and short cool summers. With less annual precipitation and strong wind, it is the "alpine grassland area" in China.
