Dalin history

Dalin used to be called "Dapu Forest". There are two versions of the origin of this name. One version said that the local area was a vast forest area in the early stage of reclamation, so it was called this; There is also a saying that there were immigrants in the woodland of Tai Po in Chaozhou in the past, so it was called this. Later it was changed to "Dalin".

During the reign of Kangxi in the Qing Dynasty, Xue led many people to live here. Most ancestors came from Fujian, Zhang Quan and Guangdong, and gradually developed into settlements. The government has set up yamen here, and there are more and more Catholic churches and commercial shops, which are quite prosperous.
