After receiving the Supreme People's Court's order to execute the death penalty, Kunming Intermediate People's Court promptly notified the consulates of Thailand and Myanmar in China in accordance with foreign-related procedures, contacted the close relatives of four criminals, naw kham, Sang Kang Zasa, Yilai and Zhasika, and arranged a meeting with consular officials and close relatives on February 28th.

The reporter learned from the Mekong River Case Task Force that after the Mekong River "10.5" case, which killed 13 China sailors, the CPC Central Committee and the State Council attached great importance to it, demanding that the case be ascertained as soon as possible, the murderer be arrested, and the families of the victims be given a responsible account, so as to effectively protect the lives and property of our people. The Ministry of Public Security and the Yunnan Provincial Public Security Department quickly dispatched more than 200 elite police officers to form a task force to fully carry out the case detection work.
