How to apply for a Taiwan Entry Permit if you hold a Hong Kong Resident Identity Card (non-permanent)

After completing the online application procedure, you only need to print the entry notification form yourself.

Starting from September 2010, Hong Kong and Macao residents can just print the entry notification form themselves after completing the online application procedures. There is no need to pay and go to the airport or relevant units in advance to collect the entry permit. This is almost the same as for visa-free treatment.

Non-eligible Hong Kong and Macao residents or those applying for other types of entry permits to Taiwan still need to go to the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (Hong Kong) / Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (Macau) to go through the application procedures in person. Hong Kong and Macao residents who apply for Taiwan Entry Permit online are valid for three months and can stay for up to 15 days, but can only enter and exit once.
