Where can I get a visa?

Visa processing is generally handled at the consular offices of foreign consulates in China, and some countries also have visa centers.

Only some countries apply for visas by region. For example, to apply for a Russian visa, the Russian Embassy in China is in Beijing, but it also has consular offices in Shenyang and Shanghai, China. Passports issued by these places or neighboring provinces and cities can apply for visas here. For example, the United States is divided into Shanghai, Beijing and Chengdu, so it's not about where you can apply for a visa, but about which country you want to apply for a visa. Many countries can only apply for visas in Beijing.
