1. Immediately publish a lost passport statement in the local newspaper (only indicate the country, passport number and category). If you are in a metropolis, you should also publish the same statement in Chinese in the local Chinese newspaper.

2. Send the statement clippings and passport reissue application to the China embassy or consulate in its jurisdiction for passport reissue.

3. Bring your new passport to the international student office of the school and ask for assistance in completing the relevant immigration procedures in the United States.

If you have a copy of the original passport, it's time to use it. )
