Can you tell me who is the author of Fantasia in Great Russia? Thank you very much

Jules Levy (1April 24th, 838 to1June 24th, 903,165438+1October 28th) was a drummer, teacher and composer.

It is reported that he was born in London, England, and began to learn cornet, using only his mouthpiece. His family can't afford the musical instrument itself. After immigrating to the United States, he began an important music career as a cornet soloist and was known as "the greatest piccolo player in the world". Although this man called "the greatest man in the world" has some challengers, he is widely regarded as the most important player. He was a member of the Patrick Gilmore Band and performed with them at the 1876 Philadelphia Centennial Exposition. He is also a tester and promoter of musical instrument manufacturer C.G. Kang En.

Levi gave many performances, among which the most famous ones are Rossini's Unavos, Venice Carnival, Russian Fantasia and his favorite Cyclone Polka. It can be said that he was the first recorded scale player, and he participated in the early public performance of Thomas Edison's tin foil phonograph. Later, he made commercial records for Victor Records and Columbia Records.

His son Jules Levy Jr. is also an excellent drummer and trumpeter. He often records with a group led by Joseph samuels from 19 19 to 1932 [1]. Levi remarried the actress Mary "Minnie" Conway in the1870s. Their son Frederick Conway Levy is a popular stage and film actor Conway Teller.

Jules Levy died in Chicago, Illinois at the age of 65.
