According to Baidu Encyclopedia, Xiapu County, located in the 12th year of Yongzheng in Qing Dynasty (1734), belongs to Funing Prefecture, located in the northeast of Fujian Province, with a land area of 17 16 square kilometers and a sea area of 29,592.6 square kilometers. The coastline is 505 kilometers long, accounting for one-eighth of the province, ranking first in the province. There are more than 400 large and small islands.

Xiapu County is a port city in the northeast wing of the west coast economic zone along the southeast coast of China. It is a coastal economic open county approved by People's Republic of China (PRC) and the State Council, and the earliest trade port with Taiwan in Fujian, with famous scenic spots such as Gaoluotan, Dajingtan, Chian Scenic Area, Yangjiaxi Scenic Area, Konghaifang and Dizang Temple.
