The Middle East in the Eyes of Europeans

North Africa and the Middle East were once colonies of Britain and France, so these two Europeans always felt that they should take care of them here. Of course, many geopolitical contradictions now are also buried by Britain, which played the most badly that year.

For example, Kurds were abruptly divided into several countries, and there were Kurds in Turkey, Syria, Iraq and Iran. After World War II, everyone else was founded, but the Kurds couldn't, just to put a time bomb at the connection point between Asia and Europe. This place is not peaceful, and Britain, which thought it could regain its hegemony in those days, could still point fingers and get some benefits. It's a pity that the British are stuck in the monetary economy by the Americans, and they can't get up again, but they are also right in many places, the key geographical location of crude oil in the Middle East and the handover of the Asia-Europe plate.

Therefore, Europe, more accurately, France, Britain and Germany, hope to send Middle East energy to Europe, reduce dependence on Russian energy, control trade to a certain extent, and be conducive to economic integration with East Asia, India and South Asia represented by China in the distance.

So Russia must be the enemy, and the United States has always been an apparent ally. If joint operations are dominant, we must compete with the United States for interests internally.

Therefore, trade routes and energy are the two basic starting points of all European decisions in the Middle East. This is actually similar to China, except that someone colonized that place in history, and their hands were more direct and longer.
