How dangerous are wild mushrooms in reality?

Pick wild mushrooms. One of my favorite childhood memories. My mother and I often go to the forest on cool mornings after rain to see what we can find. The growth rate of mushrooms is incredible. In America, knowledge about mushrooms is sporadic. Some people know this very well and join mushroom picking clubs and forums. Sometimes they share their secret location with each other in the forest; Sometimes secrets are protected like a plan to protect an atomic bomb. If you know something about this, you will have a lot of experience to help you study. But most Americans know almost nothing about it. Usually immigrants or their children will take part in this hobby, because picking wild mushrooms is more common in Eastern Europe and Southeast Asia. Unfortunately, these same immigrants are usually people who mistake "bad" American mushrooms for delicious food that they grew up in their own country. This can be bad and dangerous.

Therefore, even if my own parents are Polish immigrants, the mushrooms we picked are 100% safe. Why? Because we did the right thing. That's it … there are many good mushrooms that look like bad mushrooms. This requires a real mushroom expert ... a mycologist (specializing in fungi) to distinguish the differences. Even so, they are often not 100% sure without some research on specific specimens. The solution to this problem is to give up many mushrooms that may be good. Just passing by them. Moreover, if you only stick to a few varieties, you can't confuse them with rotten mushrooms with similar appearance. In most cases, this is considered to be very inefficient. But as far as mushrooms are concerned, if you want to be 100% sure that you won't poison yourself or your family, this is the only choice. This is the method that my mother and I use.

We only chose three specific types and left a lot of mushrooms that might be good. There is no other way. As the saying goes, "Better die than die"? . Mushroom poisoning is real.
