Physical examination of French immigrants

The validity period of a French student visa is basically one year. Foreign students who have obtained a student visa valid for 3 months to 1 year do not need to apply for a student residence permit when they arrive in France, as long as the visa is still valid. However, within 3 months after arriving in France, foreign students should immediately submit an application form for immigration certificate to the local immigration office (OFII). After receiving the application form, the Immigration Bureau will inform the international students to go through the visa entry formalities and attend the physical examination or the "reception day for international students". At that time, you need to bring the following materials:

A. identification and French address;

B. a bareheaded photo;

C. The law is the same as the tax receipt of the Immigration Bureau (marked with the words ANAEM or OMI), and so is the tax on the first student's residence permit.

The French Immigration Bureau is responsible for reviewing the integrity of the application materials and proving that the visa is officially valid. The validity period of a student's residence permit cannot exceed the student's study time in France and cannot exceed one year. Therefore, if students study in France for more than one year, they need to apply for an extension of their residence permit for French students every year. When applying for renewal, you need to submit the academic transcripts of the previous academic year and the admission notice of the new academic year.

In addition, if the validity of the student passport is coming to an end, you should be prepared to apply for a new passport, otherwise you will not be able to apply for a residence permit for French students.

The residence permit must be extended two months before it expires. When going through the extension formalities, in addition to the supporting documents required for the first application, you must also show the relevant certificates of studying in France in the past year. Provincial governments and the Paris Police Department should verify whether students with residence permits are actually studying in France. The authorities responsible for issuing residence permits have the right to request any supporting materials that can explain the actual situation of study at school, such as academic transcripts, admission notices for the new school year, bank account information, housing certificates, etc. , in addition to the following materials:

Valid passport and passport photo. If the passport expiration date is approaching, you should first go to the Consular Section of the French Embassy in China to apply for passport extension;

B. Study and study plan during the stay in France. Relevant materials to prove studying in France for one year include: diploma obtained, certificate of taking exams or attending lectures, academic report card, admission notice for the new academic year, etc.

C proof of economic source (not less than 500 euros) and bank account details;

D. Medical report issued by the International Immigration Bureau (OMI);

E. If the residence permit is renewed, the residence permit of the previous year is required;

F. proof of housing.
