Decision on commending advanced collectives and individuals in Danjiangkou reservoir area of South-to-North Water Transfer Project for resettlement pilot and trunk line relocation.

Since the start of the South-to-North Water Diversion Project, under the leadership of the the State Council South-to-North Water Diversion Project Construction Committee, local party committees and governments at all levels along the line have attached great importance to the overall situation, been highly responsible, carefully organized and arranged, and worked actively. Significant progress has been made in the pilot project of resettlement in Danjiangkou reservoir area and the land acquisition and demolition of trunk lines, which has effectively promoted the smooth progress of the project construction.

A large number of advanced collectives and individuals have emerged in the resettlement pilot project and trunk line project in Danjiangkou reservoir area. In order to commend advanced technology and promote the sound and rapid development of land requisition and resettlement in the South-to-North Water Transfer Project, it was decided to award 64 units including the Office of the Leading Group for Resettlement of the People's Government of Henan Province the titles of "Advanced Collective in the Pilot Project of Resettlement in Danjiangkou Reservoir Area of South-to-North Water Transfer Project" and 1 "Advanced Individual in the Pilot Project of Resettlement in Danjiangkou Reservoir Area of South-to-North Water Transfer Project".

It is hoped that the commended advanced collectives and individuals will cherish their honor, continue to carry forward their achievements and make persistent efforts to make new contributions to the land acquisition and resettlement work of the South-to-North Water Transfer Project. All relevant units and cadres should follow the example of advanced collectives and individuals, learn from their advanced deeds and successful experiences, improve their working methods, innovate their working ideas, improve their working efficiency, and promote the better and faster development of the South-to-North Water Transfer Project with the new achievements of harmonious resettlement and harmonious land acquisition.
