Entry requirements for vaccines in Singapore

According to the latest entry policy of the Singapore government, from April 26th, visitors to Singapore can enter the country only by showing the vaccination certificate of COVID-19 vaccine. After entering the country, they are free from inspection and isolation and can move freely. So, which vaccines are officially recognized by the Singapore government? How to apply for vaccine certification? Let's take a look with Gingell.

First of all, the latest immigration policy

According to the latest policy of the Singapore government, since April 26, 2022, Singapore short-term travelers who have completed vaccination do not need to apply for Air Travel Pass (ATP) or entry approval, nor will they be forced to buy travel insurance, nor do they need to show negative nucleic acid test reports before boarding the plane. Passengers only need to show proof of vaccination completion to enter Singapore.

According to the regulations, the vaccines vaccinated by passengers must be those on the WHO Emergency Use List, and meet the requirements of the specified time interval, that is, the interval after completing two injections is more than 14 days, but children under 12 who are not fully vaccinated can be exempted from this article.

The vaccine certificate (electronic or paper) of people who have been vaccinated in countries or regions outside Singapore must be in English, including details such as name, birthday, passport number, vaccine name and vaccination date of each injection.

In addition, short-term passengers entering Singapore also need to download the "trace together”APP to activate and fill in the relevant application materials. Children under 6 years old or other disabled people who can't use mobile phones or passengers with special needs can be exempted from this article.

Second, vaccines certified by the Singapore government.

According to the emergency use list of COVID-19 vaccine updated by WHO in official website on March 2, 2022, the following ten COVID-19 vaccines were approved for emergency use: Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Johnson & Johnson, Moderna, Novavax, Bharat Biotechnology, Beijing Bio-control and China Bio-pharmaceutical.

It should be noted that although COVID-19 vaccine of Sinopharm has been put into use in China for a long time, it has not been approved by WHO for emergency use. There are two kinds of EUL certifications in China, namely China Institute of Biological Products (Sinopharm) and Beijing Kexing Biological Products Co., Ltd.

The official website, Singapore Immigration Bureau, also lists the government-certified COVID-19 vaccines and required doses, including Kexing, Pfizer, Madena, etc., and also gives the prescribed time interval from the completion of vaccination to entry:

1. Passengers vaccinated with Kexing biological vaccine need to complete two doses of vaccination within 13 days before entry;

2. Passengers vaccinated with Chinese medicine vaccine should complete two doses of vaccination within 17 days before entry.
