How to settle in Bali

You can apply for a long-term residence permit if you have lived for more than five years, and you can apply for Indonesian citizenship if you have lived for more than ten years.

Other conditions for joining Indonesian nationality are familiarity with Indonesian language and stable work income.

As for how to live, you can go to work in Indonesia, or marry the locals, or follow your relatives and so on. But tourism and business don't count, nor do volunteers photographed by the China government.

As for visas for work and visiting relatives, you need the certificate of the Indonesian inviter, and you can't do things directly.
