How to apply for a study permit after going abroad?

How to go through the relevant procedures for studying in Korea? Cui Long, director of Chengdu Foreign Affairs Service Center, gave readers the following suggestions:

Preparation: Prepare relevant basic materials in advance, especially the deposit certificate of the economic guarantor and my family relationship certificate, notarization of high school academic performance, graduation certificate, etc.

Choose an intermediary: you must choose a formal study agent with qualification certification.

Consultation and evaluation: study abroad institutions will know each student in detail, judge whether they meet the requirements of studying in Korea, and then recommend universities suitable for their learning purposes and economic ability.

Sign an agreement: sign an intermediary service agreement with students to determine the obligations and responsibilities of both parties. As an intermediary service company established by the government and institutions, regular study abroad agencies will make personalized study abroad plans for each student in the spirit of being responsible to the end.

Application for admission: the study agent will send the relevant materials to a school in Korea, and the school will issue an admission notice after passing the examination.

Visa application: The admission notice and related materials are sent to Korea, and the school issues a visa confirmation letter in China on behalf of the Korean Ministry of Justice and sends it back to the Student Affairs Office. Students can apply for a visa through the Korean Consulate General, and the study agent can apply for a study visa on their behalf.

Entry into Korea: After obtaining a visa, you can book an air ticket or a boat ticket to Korea. The main entry points of South Korea are Incheon International Airport, Busan Gimhae International Airport and Incheon International Port. At present, there are direct flights from Chengdu to Seoul, with a flight time of 4 hours.

School registration: after arriving at the school, go to the International Cooperation Office or the Admission Office to go through the relevant admission procedures, including handling student ID cards, transportation cards, renting houses, etc. General study agents will assist students to go through the above procedures smoothly.

Apply for a foreigner registration card: those who stay in Korea for more than 1 year need to apply for a foreigner registration card at the local exit-entry administration office, and then apply for various insurances.
