How do immigrants successfully become Dutch citizens?

# 中中中 # Introduction Immigrating to a new country, I believe everyone wants to integrate quickly. Of course, in addition to psychological integration, we also need identity integration. Here's how immigrants can successfully become Dutch citizens. Welcome to read!

I. Dutch citizens

Once you have lived in the Netherlands for five consecutive years (if you have been with your Dutch spouse or partner for three years), you can become a Dutch citizen by naturalization. You must meet certain conditions, such as proving that you can write and speak Dutch, giving up your previous nationality (with some exceptions), and if you find it difficult to write or pronounce your name in Dutch, you can change your name.

You can apply through the local municipal government, which will take about one year.

Second, sponsors.

Many people will have a sponsor-a person or organization interested in them-to come to the Netherlands (such as employers, educational institutions or family members). Guarantors can submit an application for residence permit on your behalf. If the application is rejected, they can raise objections or appeal.

There are two kinds of promoters: non-recognition and recognition, and only organizations, institutions and companies can be recognized as promoters (fees); Individuals cannot. Some organizations must be registered (recognized) with the Immigration and Naturalization Bureau before they can hire foreign employees, but those who are engaged in paid work, seasonal labor, training or holding European blue cards can choose to register.

Approved sponsors can be:

(1) Compulsory sponsor-used for research, exchange, high-tech immigrants and some scientific researchers. For Turkish citizens with high-tech immigration permits, there is no need for compulsory guarantors.

(2) Guarantor of voluntary recognition —— Employers with foreign employees engaged in paid employment, seasonal labor, training or holding European blue cards may apply for recognition voluntarily.

Recognized guarantors have certain legal obligations, including notifying IND of any change (such as employer change), keeping administrative records, and bearing the repatriation expenses when the visa expires, and looking up the list of guarantors recognized by IND, which is also a useful source for job hunting.

Three. Extension or change of residence permit

If you have a residence permit, the Immigration Bureau will contact you shortly before the residence permit expires, and you may have the opportunity to extend your residence permit (although not all residence permits can be extended). If it cannot be extended, you must apply for a new residence permit-or leave the Netherlands.

Four. Lost file

If your license is lost or stolen, you can apply to the Immigration Bureau for a replacement. You must submit a copy of your passport, police report and passport photo, as well as other documents related to your own situation (such as employment certificate). All foreign documents must be translated and legalized. It costs 259 euros to process this document. Depending on the loss or theft of the document, the Dutch Immigration Bureau will give a reply within eight weeks.

Verb (abbreviation for verb) Immigration and Naturalization Bureau

Generally speaking, unless you have an appointment, you can't go directly to the immigration office (except to get permission).
