Planting history of rice in Tailai

Rice has been planted in Tailai County for a hundred years. The earliest time was the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty. A few local immigrants use river water to grow rice in Nenjiang area. 1933, the Korean reclamation group organized by Japan settled in Liming Village, Siliwu Township, and started large-scale rice planting. The planting area reached 13000 mu in 1949. In 1950s, the planting area showed a steady growth trend, increasing to more than 30,000 mu in 1960 and 42,000 mu in 1980. After the implementation of the household contract responsibility system, especially the introduction and popularization of rice cultivation techniques in dry farming and sparse planting, the characteristics of high and stable yield and drought and flood resistance of rice have been fully exerted. In addition, with the implementation of the strategies of "controlling waterlogging with rice" and "controlling drought with rice", the rice planting area began to increase rapidly, reaching 169000 mu in/90. Since 2004, with the continuous increase of rice market price and the encouragement of the national policy of "one exemption and two subsidies", the rice planting area has increased rapidly. In 2008, it has grown to 6.5438+0.2 million mu (including 90.33 million mu of Sanliu Farm in the province and 30,000 mu of Tailai Farm in the agricultural reclamation system), with an annual output of 720,000 tons. In 2008, it was identified by the provincial government as the "567" rice high-yield project demonstration county (550 kg county, 600 kg township, core area over 700 kg); In 2009, it was selected as the grain primary agricultural product base of the space center by the Qiqihar municipal government.
