What does Chinese-American mean?

With the continuous development of globalization, more and more China people go abroad to explore the meaning of life in other countries. I believe many people have heard of the expression Chinese-American, so what does Chinese-American mean?

1. Chinese Americans refer to Chinese with American nationality or Americans with China descent. Chinese Americans are part of the global Chinese community.
