DIY Canada Visit Visa II Complete Record
From June 1 1 to June 1, I refused the visa twice and finally got the third visit visa. Because of this experience, in the past year, friends often called to ask about our visa experience, and strangers sent emails to ask for advice, so I thought of writing down our visa experience and putting it here, hoping to help more people.
Our basic situation:
In late August, I came to Canada to study PhD and won the full prize. Mr Wang and his son are in China. 165438+1October 2 1 First visa, rejected. 65438+February 65438+February 7, the second signing was rejected. 65438+1October 6, returned to China on February 25, and got a visa.
The basic process of visa:
165438+1October 2 1 First visa, only the application materials were prepared according to the requirements on the website of the Canadian Embassy. The departure date was three months, but it was rejected because of immigration tendency. On February 7th, 65438+February+July, 65438, I just added a letter of complaint written in my tone, mainly saying that I am too nervous to go back to China to visit my relatives, and China is on New Year's Day and Spring Festival holidays, so I hope my family will come and visit. But the second sign was rejected because of immigration tendency. After returning to China on February 25th, 65438, I prepared new visa materials, and my third visa was successfully passed on October 6th, 65438/kloc-0. The third visa adds a lot of materials. The following is a list of the main materials we submitted when applying for a visa (not to mention the basic materials required online):
1, invitation letter
2. Letter (I wrote a letter of complaint in English)
Letter from the vice president of graduate school of our department.
Letter (my husband's complaint letter)
5. My husband's permission is credible
6. Copy of work appointment letter, work contract and business license provided by husband's company (in Chinese and English).
7. Proof of funds (China and Canada)
8. The original and photocopy of my passport and the photocopy of my return ticket.
Visa experience:
1. after the first rejection, I went to the international center of our university for a consultation according to my friend's suggestion. A Canadian gave me a suggestion and mentioned it in my application. Although we have applied for visiting relatives for three months, we may apply for an extension when we arrive in Canada. However, considering that this would conflict with the immigration tendency, it was not mentioned in the complaint letter when applying for a visa for the second time. When I applied for the third time, I mentioned this point in my husband's complaint letter after careful consideration, saying that I might apply for an extension, but I would never stay in Canada illegally beyond the time limit.
2. After the second visa refusal, according to the suggestion of an online friend, I went to the Immigration Bureau to inquire about the specific reasons for the refusal, and found a detailed problem, that is, the fake letter of the first visa was not printed on the company's stationery, which may be the main reason why the visa officer doubted the authenticity of my husband's work, so the main direction of our third visa was to prove the authenticity of his company and his work. Therefore, if a person is refused a visa because of his immigration tendency, he can ask the parties in Canada to inquire about the specific reasons for the visa refusal at the immigration office in his city (this reason cannot be seen in the visa refusal letter), and remember to bring the authorization letter of the visa applicant (which can be signed and faxed by the other party).
3. Time interval of multiple visas. A few friends asked me how long the interval between visas was appropriate, and some friends suggested that we wait for a period of time before signing the second visa, because in case the third visa was rejected, it would be more passive. However, our three visas only lasted for one and a half months, and the third visa and the second visa were even only 20 days apart. My personal feeling is that the time interval is not the key, but whether there are new changes or good reasons for each visa. If you have no new changes, or can't convince yourself at all, don't rush to sign again. This question is also related to the following questions.
4. Writing the complaint letter. A friend once asked me to write a complaint letter. I showed the complaint letter to several friends who were close to me, but my feeling was that it was best not to mention other people's affairs in the complaint letter, because everyone's situation was unique. Only by carefully analyzing your own situation can you write your own complaint letter with a clear aim. I remember writing a letter of complaint before the signing ceremony. I drafted a letter of complaint immediately after I returned to China, and then I was busy preparing other materials and revising them in the next few days. Actually, it's not a real revision. I just read it once or twice a day to see if there are any mistakes in grammar or expression, and see if this letter can convince myself. I think if this letter can't convince myself, then I can't convince the visa officer at all. In the end, I was convinced myself, and so was the visa officer. In addition, it is best to write the complaint letter directly in English. After writing, please ask an English major to help you revise it to make your letter more in line with the expressions of foreigners. The English we learn in China sometimes seems blunt, and such a complaint letter may have a negative effect.
5. About the departure time. During the first two visas, we all wrote a three-month leave according to everyone's practice, but later a friend suggested that it is best to take only one month off, because we are all ordinary employees of the unit or company, and it seems that giving three months off is not in line with the actual situation. It seems more reasonable for ordinary employees to take a month off to visit relatives abroad. When we got the third visa, the time for visiting relatives was written as follows: My husband stayed for a month (it happened to be the Spring Festival holiday) and my son stayed with us all the time.
6. In addition, many people may know that Xu Xiaoping has a book: visa philosophy (maybe this is the title? When I went back to China to apply for a visa, I borrowed a book from a friend and read some key ideas carefully several times, which was very helpful for me to write a complaint letter. My suggestion is, don't copy the sample letter in this book, just reflect the main idea in your complaint letter or other related materials.
In the process of three visas in one and a half months, I got enthusiastic help from many friends I know or don't know, and I never came back. Let's take this belated visa summary as another reward. If this essay can give some help to friends who are still wandering or even tortured in Canada, it can be regarded as a reward for friends who have helped me.
I hope all visas can be successful, and I hope there is no separation in the world.
Happy new year! !
