Division of visa areas in Singapore
The geographical division of visas in Singapore is mainly based on the nationality or residence of the applicant. Generally speaking, applicants can apply for a visa according to their nationality or residence.
Specifically, the visa areas in Singapore are divided as follows:
Chinese mainland: The consulates in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen are responsible for Chinese mainland's visa application.
Hong Kong Special Administrative Region: The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region can independently apply for Singapore visas, and the consulate is located in Hong Kong.
Taiwan Province Province: Taiwan Province Province can apply for a Singapore visa independently, and the consulate is located in Taipei.
The duration of a visa in Singapore depends on the type of visa and the situation of the visa holder. Generally speaking, the duration of tourist visas ranges from 30 days to 90 days, and the duration of business visas is 14 days. If the visa holder needs to stay in Singapore beyond the time stipulated in the visa, he needs to apply to the Singapore Immigration and Checkpoints Bureau for an extension of his stay. However, the extension of residence is not necessarily approved, and it needs to be approved according to the specific circumstances. If visa holders need to stay in Singapore for more than 90 days, they need to apply for a long-term visit permit from the Singapore Immigration and Checkpoints Bureau, which is valid for 2 years. During the validity period, visa holders can enter and leave Singapore for more than 90 days at a time. It should be noted that the Singapore Immigration and Checkpoints Bureau has the right to decide whether to approve the visa application or extend the stay application according to the specific circumstances.
To sum up, the applicant can choose the corresponding consular district to apply for a visa according to his actual situation. It should be noted that the visa application policies and requirements of different consular regions may be different, and applicants need to carefully understand and prepare relevant materials as required before applying.
