The origin and history of Gao surname

Gao is a descendant of the eighth Wen Gong in Jiang Ziya.

Gao's surname first appeared in the period of the Yellow Emperor in ancient times, and China's book Shiben, the earliest systematic record of the origin of surnames, contained the minister of the Yellow Emperor as the palace.

The chronicles of bamboo books say that the Yellow Emperor "lived with the bear". There is a bear, now in Xinzheng County, Zhengzhou City, Henan Province.
