Why do I object to genetically modified staple food?

Why should genetically modified rice be the national staple food in China? It is reported that China will become the first country in the world where genetically modified food becomes the staple food. Even the poorest countries in the world are reluctant to use genetically modified food, and China will promote it on a large scale and even become a staple food. Why, don't they know that once traditional crops such as genetically modified rice are planted on a large scale, it will cause a devastating blow? Don't they know that long-term consumption of genetically modified foods will reduce human intelligence, immunity and fertility, and even become idiots? Maybe the first generation and the second generation have nothing to do with those three. I am very patriotic. I have always believed that China can rise, even if social ethics and morality are corrupted, even if corrupt officials are a dime a dozen. But after the country passed the safety certification of genetically modified rice, I was completely disappointed in China. What is the difference between importing genetically modified rice from the United States and opium from Britain in the Qing Dynasty? Don't they know that this will destroy the country? Don't they know that genetically modified rice is used to feed animals in the United States? They don't even eat mice in warehouses. Do officials and their children also eat genetically modified food? I almost forgot that their children have immigrated to America. As a China native, I am really sad.
