Jingbian County is located in the northwest of Shaanxi Province, southwest of Yulin City, on the upper reaches of Wuding River, and across the north and south of the Great Wall.

History and Culture

There is no examination of the county area at the beginning of the establishment of the county. In June of the 31st year of the Republic of China (1942), after Wuqi County was established, the Trilateral Division assigned the Fenghuang and Luojian districts of Jingbian County to Wuqi. In 1949, Wuqi County was abolished, and Fenghuang and Luojian districts were placed under Jingbian. In 1950, Wuqi County was restored, and the above two districts were assigned to Wuqi.

In 1954, according to the notice of the Shaanxi Provincial Department of Civil Affairs, Batu Bay in Jingbian County was assigned to Wushen Banner.

In 1958, six townships in Hengshan County, including Shiwan and Majiayao, were placed under Jingbian County. The total area of ??Jingbian County is 5,300 square kilometers. In 1962, the division was narrowed and six communes including Shiwan were returned to Hengshan County.
