Where and how to apply for a Taiwan entry permit for visiting relatives?

Taiwan Entry Permit: Taiwan Permit (Pass for Mainland Residents to Travel to Taiwan) is a travel pass issued by the Ministry of Public Security of the People's Republic of China and the People's Republic of China to mainland residents traveling to Taiwan. When entering Taiwan, it will be inspected together with the Taiwan Entry Permit issued by the Entry-Exit and Immigration Bureau of the Ministry of Interior in Taiwan.

(1) Apply for the "Taiwan Travel Permit for Mainland Residents" and travel endorsement, which should be processed within 10 working days.

(2) The investigation time is not included in the promised time limit for obtaining the certificate.

(3) The applicant shall collect the certificate from the group travel agency with the receipt of the certificate.

Application procedures

(1) Submit the "Application Approval Form for Mainland Residents Traveling to and from Taiwan" with the applicant's photo attached (see standards). First-time applicants must submit the same form separately. 2 photos of the specifications.

(2) Submit the originals of the applicant’s resident ID card and household registration book for inspection, and submit copies. Applicants under 16 years old only need to submit the household registration book.

(3) Submit the list of group travel certificates issued by a group travel agency with the qualification to operate tours to Taiwan.

(4) The travel group leader’s application for certificates and endorsements shall be submitted to the exit and entry administration department of the public security bureau in the place where the tour group is located by the tour group company where the tour group is located, and the official letter issued by the tour group company and the tour guide to Taiwan shall be submitted for verification certificate. For applications from other places, the approval authority shall send a letter to the public security authority in the place where the household registration is located to verify the relevant circumstances and then handle the application.

(5) Registered state staff must submit their application after completing the approval procedures in accordance with organizational and personnel management authority.

(6) If the certificate holder loses his or her certificate, he or she shall apply for a reissue to the exit-entry administration department of the public security bureau at the municipality or prefecture (city) level that originally accepted the application, and submit the certificate to the certificate issued by the police agency of the place where the certificate was lost.

(7) If the validity period of the certificate is less than 6 months or the validity period of the endorsement applied for exceeds the validity period of the certificate, the inner pages of the certificate have been used up, and if the certificate is damaged, you must apply for a replacement and submit the original "Permit for Mainland Residents Traveling to and from the Taiwan Area" , if the certificate is damaged, submit a statement of damage to the certificate.

(8) The application must be submitted in person to the immigration administration department, but if the applicant is under 16 years old, the application must be accompanied or handled by a guardian. The original and photocopy of the guardian's ID card and corresponding documents proving the guardianship relationship must be submitted. Information: Applicants who are over 70 years old can entrust immediate family members or other guardians to act on their behalf, and must submit a power of attorney, the original and copy of the agent's ID card.

(9) Applicants must also provide corresponding information as required by the group travel agency to apply for "Taiwan Entry Permit".
