(2) Application for admission notice
There is only one "window" for Germany to accept students from China, and that is DAAD (German Science Exchange Center). Students studying in China can communicate with scholars and professors from relevant universities or research institutions in the Federal Republic of Germany, and these scholars and professors will also write back to express whether they accept or not, but they can only go to Germany with the approval of DAAD. Therefore, German scholars and professors can be told when communicating. If they agree to accept it, please tell DAAD.
The application materials are sorted into three sets: 1 set is sent to the German Embassy in China, which forwards it to DAAD;; 1 The parcel was sent to our embassy in Germany; 1 set for saving. Each set shall mainly include:
(1) resume;
(2) An application form for individual volunteering;
(3) the recommendation letter of the tutor;
(4) Various attachments (university and middle school certificates, transcripts).
Resume should indicate what teaching, research and design work you have participated in and what works you have written. The application form for volunteering should indicate where you are willing to study and which professor you are willing to study with, and indicate your hopes and requirements for further study. The application form should be signed by myself, signed in Chinese and marked with Chinese Pinyin. It is best to translate the recommendation letter into German. If it really doesn't work, you can use English instead. The recommendation letter must be signed by the recommender, and the signature cannot be copied.
All the above materials must be available in Chinese and German, but the Chinese version is not required for packages sent to Germany. Therefore, the German version of various materials is in triplicate, and the Chinese version can also be in triplicate.
(3) Handling of economic guarantee.
In Germany, there are three main ways of economic guarantee: the first is to ask relatives and friends in Germany to provide economic proof, and issue the text of the deposit and my property certificate; The second is that relatives and friends from a third country or themselves raise 1.5 million marks and deposit them in the bank of the city where they plan to study abroad, and the deposit text is used as proof of economic guarantee; The third way is to apply for scholarships from relevant universities through relatives and friends in Germany.
(4) Procedures for applying for a self-funded study visa
After receiving the admission notice and proof of economic guarantee, first apply to the local public security organ for a passport to go abroad, and then go to embassies and consulates in China to apply for a self-funded study visa. When applying for a self-funded study visa, the following supporting materials shall be submitted:
(1) Admission notice of a German university;
(2) A letter of economic guarantee filled out by the guarantor and notarized by a German notary office, or other certified economic guarantee certificates;
(3) my physical health examination certificate;
(4) my passport;
(5) Fill in a complete entry visa application form (in triplicate);
(6) 3 photos (2 inches).
After the above certification materials are submitted to embassies and consulates in China, the embassy or consulate will forward the relevant materials to the domestic authorities for approval. If approved, the embassy or consulate will inform the applicant to collect the certificate. Before being approved, the applicant can write to inquire about the situation. The German Embassy and Consulate will give you an answer within 6 weeks at the latest.
On the other hand, if the applicant has the conditions to study in Germany at his own expense, but has not received the acceptance notice after applying, and the applicant is eager to study in Germany as soon as possible, the applicant can directly apply to the German Embassy in China for studying abroad. The German Embassy in China has the right to issue a student visa to the applicant under such circumstances. The advantage of this visa method is that the applicant can go to the relevant schools to find out the situation after arriving in Germany, and then decide on the schools and courses.
There are one or more entry and exit visas. Generally, you have to apply for multiple entry and exit visas, so you can travel to other European countries during your stay in Germany. Otherwise, if you use a single-sex entry and exit visa, you will not be able to re-enter Germany. Many students studying in Germany go to Germany by international train, passing through Russia, Mongolia, Poland, East Germany and other countries, and they also need to apply for transit visas for Russia, Mongolia and Poland.
Generally, the visa issued by the German embassy is valid for 3 months. After entering the country, you should go through the entry and residence formalities at the local foreign immigration office with your passport and other relevant materials no later than 15 days before the expiration date. The residence permit period is 1 year, and you can apply again later until you leave Germany.
