English introduction of Barbie doll

Barbie is the best-selling fashion doll released by 1959. The doll, produced by Mattel, is the company's main source of income. American businesswoman Ruth Handler (19 16-2002) is regarded as the creator of Barbie. The design of this doll was inspired by a German doll named Bild Lilli.

In the past 50 years, Barbie has been an important part of the toy fashion doll market, and it is also the subject of numerous disputes and lawsuits, usually involving the imitation of dolls and their lifestyles. In recent years, Barbie is facing increasing competition from Bratz dolls.

Barbie's full name is Barbara Millicent Roberts. In a series of novels published by Random House in1960s, her parents' names are George and marguerite roberts, from Willows, a fictional town in Wisconsin. It is said that Barbie attended Willows High School in new york and Manhattan International High School, which was designed according to Stuyvesant High School in real life. She has a romantic relationship with her lover Ken (Ken Carson), who first appeared in 196 1. Like Barbie, Ken has the same name as a child in Ruth Handler. In February 2004, Mattel issued a press release announcing that Barbie and Ken had decided to break up, but in February 2006, they got back together.
