What hypothesis did Darwin overthrow before his death?

Elizabeth Cotton, Mrs Hope, 1842 was born in Tasmania, Oceania. She married Sir James Hope of Admiral of the fleet, England, so she was awarded the title of "Lady". 19/kloc-immigrated to the United States in 0/3, and 1922 died in England.
