What is TOEFL English?
Let's talk about it first: IELTS high school students can take the exam and have a good English foundation, but they can still achieve ideal results in the exam:) ~
At present, people who strive for TOEFL and GRE still have an absolute advantage. Compared with IELTS, these two closely related exams have a longer history and are more popular.
Among them, TOEFL is a necessary test for studying in the United States and Canada, and more than 2,400 universities and colleges in the United States and Canada have recognized this test result. GRE scores are the trump card for most China students to apply for scholarships.
Compared with TOEFL and GRE, IELTS also has many advantages: it is suitable for people who go to Commonwealth countries such as Britain, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Singapore. Countries such as Canada, Australia and New Zealand regard IELTS as the only criterion for evaluating the English level of immigrants, and different institutions in these countries also regard IELTS scores as the criterion for recruiting overseas students.
From the examination form, IELTS is divided into four parts: listening, speaking, reading and writing, which takes into account all the goals of foreign language teaching and can measure a person's actual level. Moreover, the IELTS test is handwritten and may be more accurate.
The TOEFL and GRE scores are 677 and 2400 respectively. Their exams all have fixed questions and patterns. Students who have been trained by the training school assembly line will be of great help to improve their exam results if they master certain answering skills.
TOEFL is an English proficiency test provided by educational testing service for students from non-English-speaking countries to apply for universities or graduate schools in the United States and other English-speaking countries. The highest score in TOEFL is 677, and there is no passing score.
At present, more than 2,000 universities in North America require foreign students to provide TOEFL scores when applying for admission. There is no uniform regulation for freshmen's admission scores, and about 75% colleges require freshmen's TOEFL scores to be above 550.
GRE (Graduate Achievement Examination) is a postgraduate qualification examination sponsored by educational testing service. The test content of the exam mainly includes vocabulary, mathematical problems, analysis and logical reasoning, with a full score of 2400.
Unlike the TOEFL test, your score will be recorded every time you take the GRE test. As long as your score is unsatisfactory once, it will inevitably affect your final score. So GRE had better be successful once, unless you are particularly sure that it will be much higher than last time. GRE scores are valid for 5 years.
Now, the GRE test is held three times a year in China, in February, April and 10 respectively. However, after April 1999, GRE will be implemented in China, and candidates can sign up for the exam at any time.
IELTS (International English Language Testing System) is an international English proficiency test jointly organized by Cambridge University Examinations Committee, Australian University International Development Agency and British Council. The IELTS test is divided into four parts: listening, reading, writing and speaking. The examination time is 2 hours and 45 minutes, out of 9 points. The whole test is non-standardized. Now, it has 224 test centers in 105 countries around the world. Colleges and universities in Commonwealth countries all admit that IELTS is the result of English language proficiency test. In recent years, IELTS has begun to expand to North America and has been recognized by 63 universities in North America.
