Why do British people bother America?

The United States was originally a British colony, but most of the immigrants from Britain were poor people at the bottom of society and Puritans who were persecuted by politics. They are not regarded as "inferior people" in the eyes of the British, which laid the foundation for the British to hate Americans to some extent. Secondly, in the16th century, the British government often exiled prisoners to the "wild" United States; So you can see how much the British don't like Americans and don't like this land of America. Moreover, in terms of customs and culture, Americans have developed a brand-new melting pot culture different from that of Britain. The American "hillbilly" behavior habit is sometimes unacceptable and rude to the British (for example, before 1750, Americans usually only used steel forks to cut meat and could eat it directly with their hands). This long-standing xenophobia will not change immediately because of the strength of the United States.
