I have paid pension insurance for 15 years in my hometown in Chongqing, and now I have my hukou in Shanghai. Can I retire in Shanghai in the future?

Chongqing social security 15 can be transferred to Shanghai (but one of the following four conditions must be met).

According to the inter-provincial transfer process of endowment insurance, a normal insured person can complete the transfer within one week as soon as all the materials are available, and generally it will not exceed 45 working days. Moreover, in the transfer process, 90% of the work is operated by the social security agencies in the transfer and transfer places of the pension insurance relationship.

Step 1: Before the insured person moves across provinces, he should go to the social security agency in Chongqing (the original insured place) to issue the payment certificate of basic old-age insurance.

Step 2: The insured person goes to the social security institution in Shanghai (new place of employment) to handle the connection relationship with the payment voucher, household registration book and ID card.

Step 3: The social security agency of Shanghai (new place of employment) will review whether the applicant meets one of the following four conditions within 15 working days:

Men under 50 years old and women under 40 years old;

Employment and insurance back to the place of residence;

Organizations at or above the county level and the people's insurance department approve the transfer, establish labor relations with the transferred units, and pay the basic old-age insurance premium;

Those who meet the conditions for receiving benefits and are not in the domicile and the payment is less than 10 years should be transferred back to the last overall planning area 10 years or returned to the domicile for less than 10 years.

Step 4: After receiving the contact letter 15 working days, the social security agency in Chongqing (the original insured place) will clear up whether the applicant is in arrears with the insurance payment, handle the transfer and connection of the old-age insurance fund, terminate the applicant's local insurance relationship, and issue the basic old-age insurance relationship transfer and connection information table to Shanghai (the new insured place).

The last step: the social security institution of Shanghai (the newly insured place) shall complete the relevant procedures within 15 working days after receiving the information form and the transfer fund.
