Is the Huaihe River to the north of Huainan?

Huainan City spans both sides of the Huaihe River, and the Huaihe River passes through the city of Huainan.

Roughly speaking, Huainan City has almost the same area on the south and north banks of the Huaihe River. On the north bank of the Huaihe River are Fengtai County, Panji District and Maoji Experimental Area, which are mainly rural areas and mining areas.

On the south bank of the Huaihe River are the urban areas of Huainan - Tianjia'an District, Bagongshan District, Xiejiaji District, Datong District and Shannan New District.

It can be said that the Huaihe River flows through Huainan, neither to the north nor to the south of Huainan, so it is in the middle.
