How does China deal with people smuggled in?

The penalties for smuggling out of the country are:

First of all, smuggling out of the country is an illegal act and shall be detained for not more than five days or fined not more than 500 yuan.

Secondly, if the perpetrator makes illegal crossings three times or more, it shall constitute the crime of illegally crossing the national (border) border and shall be sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment of not more than one year, criminal detention or surveillance, and shall also be fined.

According to the criminal law, the crime of illegally crossing the country (border) refers to the act of violating the national (border) management regulations, illegally crossing the country (border), and the circumstances are serious.
