I. Notes on Visa Application

1. China citizens who want to go to Korea need to apply for a visa at the Consular Section of the Korean Embassy in China or the Consulate General in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Qingdao, Guangzhou, Shenyang, Chengdu, Xi 'an and Wuhan (except those who meet the conditions of visa-free entry permit).

2. Visa types include tourist visa, work visa, business visa and visiting relatives visa. According to the different consular offices, passport and visa types and institutions in the region, the visa application procedures and required materials are also different.

3. If you stay in Korea for more than 90 days, you must first apply to the Exit-Entry Administration Office of the Korean Ministry of Justice for a visa issuance permit, and then apply to the Korean Embassy or Consulate in Korea for a visa (you can only apply to the Korean Embassy or Consulate in Korea for a visa after obtaining a visa issuance permit).

4. South China implements a restrictive visa-free entry permit system for some Korean citizens.

5. Visitors with Chinese mainland passports can apply for visa-free entry to Jeju Island for 30 days.

6. Transit passengers. China tourists who hold entry visas from any of the 30 countries in the United States, Japan, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Europe (see Annex for the list) can stay in Korea for 30 days without a visa if they go to the above countries or return home from the above countries through Korea. The South Korean side stipulates that such visa-free entry personnel must hold a valid ticket for going abroad within 30 days, and there are no illegal activities such as illegal detention in the above countries. After the expiration of their stay, they must go to a third country and may not return to their original place of departure.

7. Youth study tour. China elementary school, junior high school and senior high school students who enter Korea on the same flight or ship can stay in Korea for 30 days without a visa. However, it is necessary for the tour leader, organizer or designated travel agency staff to apply and issue visas to the travel agency staff after confirmation by the embassies and consulates in China and South Korea.

8. Visa applications for official passports must be processed through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China.

9. The validity period of visa application documents such as invitation letter and visa issuance license is 3 months.

10. South Korea has designated three channels for visa processing.

1 1. Foreign Affairs Office authorized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (visa for going abroad on business).

12. Relevant foreign affairs offices, such as Beijing Foreign Affairs Office (visa for going abroad for personal reasons).

13. Travel agency (visa for going abroad for personal reasons).

14. embassies and consulates in China does not accept visa application materials submitted by post.

15. Korean embassies and consulates only expedite the issuance of visa applications for attending international conferences, requiring visa applicants to fax specific matters to the embassies and consulates.

16. Applicants for international marriage visas need to make an appointment in advance, and other types of visas do not need to make an appointment.

17. After the visa is rejected, the visa fee will not be refunded, but you can appeal.

Second, the visa application process

1. Define the purpose and itinerary of going to Korea.

2. Log in to official website, embassies and consulates in China, browse the relevant information of visa application, and download the visa application form and the list of materials required for visa application.

3. According to the territorial division announced by the ROK, determine the embassy or consulate that submitted the application, and choose one to apply for a visa according to the directory of agencies designated by the ROK.

4. Waiting for visa review or supplementary materials.

5. Visit the Korean Embassy in official website to check the visa review results.

6. Get a visa. After obtaining a visa, the applicant should carefully check whether all the information on the visa is correct, especially whether the starting and ending time and the number of days of stay of the visa are consistent with the application, and whether the personal information such as the name on the visa is spelled correctly. If they find any mistakes, they should contact the visa office in time.

Three. Materials needed to apply for a visa

1. tourist visa

6) If you apply for multiple-entry visas, you must also provide materials that can prove the facts of previous entry and exit, such as coming to Korea more than four times or coming to Korea more than five times in the last two years.

2. Tourist visa (group)

1) Passport or travel document, valid for at least 6 months (excluding the time allowed to stay in the Philippines).

2) Fill in a complete visa application form for the tour group and a copy of passport information page of each member of the tour group (***3 copies; 1 set submitted to the Philippine Immigration Bureau, 1 set filed by the embassy or consulate, 1 set kept by the travel agency).

3. Business visa

1) passport.

6. Tourist visa

1. Visa information

1) One-time entry visa is valid for 3 months, and the stay period shall not exceed 90 days; Two entry visas are valid for 6 months and the stay time is no more than 90 days; Multiple entry visas are valid for 3 months, and each stay does not exceed 30 days.

2) Transit visa: Those who hold a joint ticket to a third country via South Korea and stay at the airport for no more than 24 hours may be exempted from applying for a visa. More than 24 hours, you should apply for a tourist visa.

3) It takes 3 to 6 days for the embassy to accept the visa application.

2. Authentication information
