I. Notes on Visa Application

1. China citizens who want to go to Korea need to apply for a visa at the Consular Section of the Korean Embassy in China or the Consulate General in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Qingdao, Guangzhou, Shenyang, Chengdu, Xi 'an and Wuhan (except those who meet the conditions of visa-free entry permit).

2. Visa types include tourist visa, work visa, business visa and visiting relatives visa. According to the different consular offices, passport and visa types and institutions in the region, the visa application procedures and required materials are also different.

3. If you stay in Korea for more than 90 days, you must first apply to the Exit-Entry Administration Office of the Korean Ministry of Justice for a visa issuance permit, and then apply to the Korean Embassy or Consulate in Korea for a visa (you can only apply to the Korean Embassy or Consulate in Korea for a visa after obtaining a visa issuance permit).

4. South China implements a restrictive visa-free entry permit system for some Korean citizens.

5. Visitors with Chinese mainland passports can apply for visa-free entry to Jeju Island for 30 days.

6. Transit passengers. 7. Youth study tour. China elementary school, junior high school and senior high school students who enter Korea on the same flight or ship can stay in Korea for 30 days without a visa. However, it is necessary for the tour leader, organizer or designated travel agency staff to apply and issue visas to the travel agency staff after confirmation by the embassies and consulates in China and South Korea.

8. Visa applications for official passports must be processed through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China.

9. The validity period of visa application documents such as invitation letter and visa issuance license is 3 months.

10. South Korea has designated three channels for visa processing.

Second, the visa application process

1. Define the purpose and itinerary of going to Korea.

2. Log in to official website, embassies and consulates in China, browse the relevant information of visa application, and download the visa application form and the list of materials required for visa application.

3. According to the territorial division announced by the ROK, determine the embassy or consulate that submitted the application, and choose one to apply for a visa according to the directory of agencies designated by the ROK.

4. Waiting for visa review or supplementary materials.

5. Visit the Korean Embassy in official website to check the visa review results.

6. Get a visa. After obtaining a visa, the applicant should carefully check whether all the information on the visa is correct, especially whether the starting and ending time and the number of days of stay of the visa are consistent with the application, and whether the personal information such as the name on the visa is spelled correctly. If they find any mistakes, they should contact the visa office in time.

Three. Materials needed to apply for a visa
