Legal analysis: First, notify the Immigration Bureau of the loss of passport. Report the case to the lost police station and obtain the report certificate. Declare the loss in a newspaper designated by the local exit-entry administration at or above the municipal level. Bring my ID card and household registration book, and bring the above two cards to the local entry-exit administration office for passport replacement. The prescribed time limit for the formalities is 3 months. After obtaining the passport, get in touch with the Shanghai Embassy, submit a copy of the report certificate and the report of loss to the person in charge of the Embassy, and go through the visa subsidy procedures.

Diplomatic passports are issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Official passports are issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the people of China, China's embassies and consulates abroad or other overseas institutions entrusted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the foreign affairs departments of the people's governments of provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the Central Government and cities with districts entrusted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
