Yanbian Middle School was founded in 1943, 1997 and moved to Wenhua Community in Tongzilin Town with the immigrants from Yanbian New County. Due to the expansion of the school scale, in August 2009, it was moved to Qingyuan Community, a new county, adjacent to the famous Ertan Hydropower Station. The school covers an area of 340 mu, with a beautiful campus environment, a long history of running a school, rich cultural heritage and well-equipped teaching facilities in provincial demonstration high schools. There are 52 classes with more than 2800 students.
