1977 version of When I was a Child is a classic of Hong Kong TV series, and the main shooting location is the newly completed Liyuan Village in Sha Tin. The actors' roles of Lu,,, Uncle, Grandma, Chief Chicken Feet, Chen Baoyang, Sanchai Zheng, Zheng Yingjie, Zhang Jingnuo, Zhang Zhang Dazhi Zhihao and Kissinger are regarded as classics by Hong Kong people, comparable to Under the Lion Mountain, and are the collective memory of a group of Hong Kong people. The success of this work lies in the good story, especially the child star Wang Shuqi, whose works are generally warm and instructive. More importantly, this work was first shot in the 1970s, and it retains a lot of precious scenery materials in Hong Kong.

As the name implies, the story of childhood originated from a pair of innocent and lovely little brothers and sisters whose parents immigrated to Brazil. A family of four is separated on both sides of the earth. For the younger brothers and sisters, their family and Xiao Min were entrusted to their uncle and Nian for care from the beginning of the story. My younger brother and sister lived in Liyuan, Sha Tin, a new public housing in the new town at that time. Besides commuting to Kowloon Primary School by train every day, I also like to play with a group of children in the same village. Playing football, games, toys, reading, pets, affection, rivalry, being robbed, missing relatives, ghost hunting, music, hobbies, scientific research, swimming and bean sprouts are all their daily events and experiences, and they are telling one touching story after another.
