U.S (United States) refers to the political sphere.

"The United States" was originally plural, such as "The United States is", including the thirteenth amendment to the US Constitution, which was approved for use in 1865. After the American Civil War, singular numbers were used, such as "America is". Now the singular form is the standard.

The unit of the United States refers to the geographical scope.

From 65438 to 0507, Martin Waldseemüller, a German cartographer, marked America as "America" for the first time in the Introduction to World Geography. Because the Italian explorer americus vespucius pointed out that this continent is a new continent, not the eastern part of Asia as Columbus and others thought at that time. America is named after the continent. In English, America and America are the same word "America", but the Chinese translation is different. The former refers to the United States, while the latter refers to the United States.
