Will there be a fine if the Singapore IPA expires?

Yes.

According to Beijing Lisichen Study Abroad inquiry, Singapore’s IPA (In-Principle-Approval), which is an in-principle approval letter, is issued by ICA (Singapore Immigration and Checkpoints Authority). After the visa is approved, The school will issue the IPA letter to the student. All IPA letters have a time limit. The visa for public schools is generally valid for 90 days from the date of issuance. For private schools, it will be shorter. Students must enter the country within the validity period of the IPA letter. If it expires, it will automatically expire. After entering the country, students generally need to complete the procedures for exchanging an official Student’s Pass (Student’s Pass) in person within one month, which is commonly known as “STP exchange”. If the pass expires and has not been renewed, it means that you have overstayed your visa and may be fined or deported to your country.
