Relocation compensation of Foziling Reservoir

The inundation area of ??Foziling Reservoir is based on the design flood level of 128.26 meters. The flooded area covers an area of ??22.63 square kilometers, with 8,592 acres of flooded land, 9,148 people relocated, and 6,048 houses demolished. In November 1953, Huoshan County established a resettlement committee to be specifically responsible for relocation and compensation work. In accordance with the policy of "mobilizing the masses, organizing mutual assistance and cooperation, relocation and resettlement nearby, expanding production in mountainous areas, and solving long-term livelihoods" determined by the Anhui Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China, by the end of 1956, the resettlement and compensation work was basically completed. 2.27 million yuan of immigration funds were spent. At the beginning of 1957, some immigrants who had been resettled too densely were relocated. In the spring of 1958, all resettlement work was completed.
