I was fine when I was single. Once married and have children, it is very difficult for children to go to school in the city, because without a house, children can't go to public schools at all, and the tuition fees of private schools are too expensive to afford. Therefore, women of migrant workers generally go to school in their hometown, and sometimes they can only meet once a year, which is also very unfavorable for the growth of children.

Second, migrant workers cannot enjoy the medical resources in Shenzhen.

Many migrant workers are temporary workers and have no basic social security. The role of rural insurance in cities is relatively low, and the proportion of reimbursement is also low. People with social security in Shenzhen can reimburse higher expenses for medical treatment. Going to the hospital is very expensive, and many migrant workers can only pay for it at their own expense. Usually, they go to the clinic to buy some medicine for minor ailments. If you encounter a serious illness, it is a disaster. So although I am in a big city, sometimes my life is worse than that in the countryside.

Third, housing prices are too high to buy a house.

Shenzhen is a first-tier city. If they are not locals, migrant workers must be elites, and their income can afford to buy a house, or they can start their own businesses with high risks and high income. For ordinary migrant workers, it is really hopeless. Leaders earn thousands of dollars a month, except for their own expenses, there are only one or two thousand left, and the down payment on buying a house is not enough. There is no sense of security without a house.

To sum up, although Shenzhen is a first-tier city, its urban development is also very good. But it is really unfriendly to ordinary migrant workers, and they can't settle here all their lives, so they have no sense of security. So many people work in Shenzhen and go back to their hometown to buy a house. This is also an option. At least when you are old, you can go back to your hometown to support your old age.
