Does Canadian immigration application need Canadian innocence certificate?

If you have lived in Canada for more than 6 months, you need to provide proof of innocence in Canada when you apply for immigration to Canada. Canada's proof of no criminal record has the following two forms:

1. Certificate of no criminal record issued by the Canadian Regional Police Department. The application period is about 7- 10 working days. According to the applicant's name and date of birth, the police will search the CPIC database of the Royal Canadian Police Information Service Center for criminal records.

2. Certificate of no criminal record issued by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. The application period is about 3-4 weeks. According to the applicant's name, date of birth and fingerprint information, the RCMP will match whether there is a criminal record in the RCMP database.

Generally speaking, immigrants have to apply for a certificate of no criminal record issued by the Royal Mounted Police.
