Taiwan jurisdiction and related content since Chinese history?

Emperor Yang of the Sui Dynasty conquered Liuqiu (today's Taipeng), burned down the palace, and plundered thousands of people before returning.

During the Southern Song Dynasty, Penghu was placed under the jurisdiction of Jinjiang County, Fujian Province, and a garrison was stationed there.

In the early Yuan Dynasty, Emperor Shizu of the Yuan Dynasty failed in his campaign against Japanese pirates. On the basis of the original county jurisdiction, Yu Penghu established an inspection department to strengthen its rule, which was considered a springboard for another campaign against Japanese pirates. However, the Inspection Department is only a non-permanent agency under the jurisdiction of the county. It is in charge of local security and does not care about political affairs, so its jurisdiction is not strong.

In the early Ming Dynasty, following the Yuan system, there was an inspection department, which was later abolished and reestablished during the Jiajing period. Similarly, due to the level of the Inspection Department, the central government’s management of Taipeng is not strong. This is also caused by the fact that there is not much communication between the Chinese and the Taiwanese and Penghu.

The real strengthening of exchanges between Chinese and Taiwan and Peng began in the middle and late Ming Dynasties. During the Wanli period, non-governmental organizations led by maritime merchants and pirates began to develop in Taipeng. A typical example of this was Qi Siyan, who was known as the "Saint Ancestor of Taipei". Because of his advocacy, Chinese began to immigrate to Tai-Peng in large numbers and took root in Tai-Peng. It is worth mentioning that the ancestors of many Taiwan and Peng aboriginals today also began with the Chinese immigrants during the Qi Siyan period.

At the end of the Ming Dynasty, Taipei and Penghu were occupied by Spain and the Netherlands. They were later recovered by Zheng Chenggong, and one government and two counties were established to achieve complete and effective rule. Zheng Chenggong is the son of Zheng Zhilong in the Qi Siyan Group. His power is mainly based on the Southern Ming Dynasty, also known as Ming Zheng. Later, it gradually evolved into a separate feudal lords, fighting against the Qing Dynasty.

During the reign of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty, Shi Lang restored Taiwan. Zheng Chenggong’s grandson, Zheng Keshuang, surrendered and restored one prefecture and three counties. Taiwan and Penghu returned to the embrace of the central government.

In the late Qing Dynasty, China was defeated in the Sino-Japanese War of 1898-1899, and Taipeng became a colony of Japanese pirates for 50 years. During World War II, according to the "Potsdam Declaration", the Japanese surrendered, the Taiwan and Peng returned, and it was first established as a province.

At the end of the Republic of China, Chiang Kai-shek was defeated and fled to Taipei and Penghu. The civil war has not ended until now.
