The Historical Evolution of Sanshan Guild Hall
After the opening of Shanghai, businessmen from all over the world gathered in Shanghai, and hundreds of fellow guilds and trade offices were established one after another. Sanshantang was built in 1909 as a Fujian guild hall. The whole building is unique and beautiful, with carved beams and painted buildings and flowers. The caisson of the ancient stage is made of all-wood structure, carved with patterns such as "Five Blessingg holds longevity" and "Eight Dark Immortals", as well as the eight gates and city walls of the old city. There are hundreds of birds facing the phoenix on the gate, inlaid with night pearls. The stone pillar in front of the ancient stage is engraved with the couplet "Collection of ancient and modern grand views, although current events are different, playing stringed instruments is fun." Sanshan Guild Hall is the site of three armed uprisings of Shanghai workers. 1June 926 and1February and March 927, Shanghai workers held three armed uprisings in response to the Northern Expedition and overthrew the reactionary rule of the Shanghai warlord government, and the headquarters was established here. Zhou Enlai came to Sanshan Hall to offer condolences to the workers.
Around 29 years of the Republic of China, Sanshan Middle School and Bamin Primary School were established in the guild hall, and the middle school department was closed in 1950. After 1952, the primary school was taken over by the people's government and renamed as Bansongyuan Road No.1 Primary School until 1979.

Sanshan guild hall management office is established to be responsible for protection and management.

Shanghai Folk Collection Exhibition Hall attracts thousands of visitors with its novelty, strangeness, exquisiteness and large amount of information. Guild halls are the product of social development and an important part of the long history and culture of the Chinese nation. The rise, prosperity and disappearance of Shanghai Guild Hall lasted more than three centuries. According to historical records, in its heyday, Shanghai had more than 400 guild halls, most of which were built along the Huangpu River and in the old city, which played an important role in promoting Shanghai's modernization.
Guild Hall is the witness of urban development, and it is also an important part of Shanghai's immigrant city and multicultural formation. Sanshan Guild Hall, built in the year of Xuantongyuan (1909) in Qing Dynasty, is the only well-preserved guild hall building in Shanghai in the late Qing Dynasty and the only revolutionary site preserved by the third armed uprising of Shanghai workers. 1959 is listed as a cultural relic protection unit in Shanghai. After a hundred years, Sanshan Guild Hall has undergone earth-shaking changes. On the eve of the opening of the 20 10 Shanghai World Expo in China, an exhibition hall showing the "rise and fall history" of Shanghai Guild Hall has sprung up in Sanshan Guild Hall. It is integrated with the ancient buildings of the guild hall and will become a bridge for cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries.
